Toolroom Lathe Features Servo Threading System

Babin Machine Tool offers its new precision 5C style toolroom lathe, model TML-5Cst, with servo threading system. According to the company, features of the TML-5Cst lathe include wide dovetail bedplate design, 5 HP direct drive 5C spindle to 3,500 RPM and high precision toolroom accuracy.
The TML-5Cst lathe features the Babin exclusive servo threading system incorporating U.S. made servo motor and components along with a color touchscreen for data entry of thread pitch information. No gearbox maintenance or external gearing is required.
A wide range of metric (.1 mm - 6.35 mm) or English pitch (4 - 250 TPI) are standard. Features include the ability to program up to four multi-start leads, left hand threading, rapid retract and spindle speeds to 2,500 RPM during threading.
Options for the TML-5Cst lathe include: Newall DRO system with five year warranty; 3-, 4- and 6-jaw chucks; collets; toolpost with tooling; chuck guard; chip guard; and more.
