The new OPTIPLEX NEXUS combines high performance with a compact and flexible design.
Mazak Optonics Corporation offers its new OPTIPLEX NEXUS 3015 CO2 laser-cutting system. According to the company, the OPTIPLEX NEXUS combines high performance with a compact and flexible design, ideal for fabrication job shops looking to expand into laser-cutting services.
"The OPTIPLEX NEXUS was developed to fulfill the need for a laser that provides significant performance features at an economical initial investment," said a company spokesperson. It is available in single fixed table, manual table or automated two-pallet configurations, which are modular and can be upgraded in the future.
The system integrates intelligent set-up and monitoring functions, including auto nozzle changing, auto nozzle cleaning, auto profiler calibration, focus detection, auto focus positioning, pierce detection, burn detection and plasma detection. These features are designed to simplify operation and reduce operator dependency.
The NEXUS has the flexibility to integrate with Mazak's range of material automation products, including load/unload and flexible manufacturing systems. It also features Mazak's Preview 3 CNC control to streamline operation and a new Type 10 resonator with ECO mode to lower operating costs.
