Weldon Solutions Announces Leadership Transition in Grinder Sales

Ben Cornbower

Denny Rowe

Weldon Solutions, a manufacturer of CNC grinders and robotic automation systems, has announced changes to its grinder sales team as the company continues to expand its workforce.

The York-based company has promoted Ben Cornbower, a sales engineer and 15-year employee, to manager of grinder sales. He succeeds longtime director of sales and marketing Denny Rowe, who has retired after 26 years with Weldon.

"Denny was always the go-to guy. He was very detailed-oriented and always made sure customers got exactly what they wanted, so it is hard to let that go," said Travis Gentzler, President of Weldon Solutions. "We are excited to promote Ben because he brings a lot of grinder experience and our customers know him. It should be a very smooth transition."

After joining Weldon Solutions in 2004 as an applications engineer, Cornbower moved into a sales engineer position in 2019. A graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Cornbower began his career at Form Tool Technology as a tooling engineer before taking a role as a CNC programmer at Gerhardt USA.

Rowe began his career at Weldon in 1993. He started out as a sales engineer before being promoted to sales manager and later as director of sales and marketing. Denny's career journey began in 1974, where he served as an apprentice for Landis Tool Company. He spent 15 years with Landis, including the last six years there as a sales coordinator. Before joining Weldon, he spent five years with Toyoda Machinery, where he was a sales support manager and later the Southeast regional sales manager for the company's grinding division.
