Manchester Tool & Die Celebrates 60 Years

Manchester Tool & Die, Inc. is celebrating its 60th year in operation in 2020.

"Founder Glen Blocher was a pioneer in the tube end forming industry," said a company spokesperson. "He founded MTD in 1960 as a job shop, but by the mid-1960s had built the company's first tube end forming machine. By the end of the decade he had developed superior technology that would soon establish MTD as a leading company in the field."

The company has grown over the years and now occupies a 65,000 sq. ft. facility with over 50,000 sq. ft. devoted to manufacturing. A third generation of Blochers is now part of the management team.

Manchester Tool & Die supplies tube end forming equipment and tooling to a variety of industries, with standard machines ranging from 3/16" to 3" O.D. capacities. Machines and parts can be manufactured for special applications. Manchester Tool & Die also provides steel fabricating and production machining services.
