Forged Steel Body 4-Jaw Independent Chucks

Global Tooling Solutions has introduced Gator forged steel body 4-jaw independent chucks.

"This new group of independent chucks fills an important gap and is an excellent alternative to Gator semi-steel medium duty and Gator solid forged steel heavy duty chucks," said a company spokesperson.

"There is growing demand for this segment as more and more machine shops and manufacturing facilities require an option that can handle more demanding machining applications, a broader range of chuck diameters and more spindle mount options," continued the spokesperson. "These chucks are an excellent option where the application requires additional strength and gripping power and where long life is demanded."

Chucks are stocked in diameters of 8" - 32" and can be supplied as large as 80". All chucks are produced with ANSI standard 2-piece jaw systems and plain backs. Hard solid jaw systems can be supplied upon request. The plain back option allows these chucks to be matched with a variety of Gator fully or semi-machined adapters for A (short taper), D (camlock), L (long taper) and threaded machine spindles.

All critical mated areas of the chuck are hardened according to a DIN standard, giving these chucks high accuracy and long life.
