ROHM Products of America, a division of the German-based ROHM Group, will celebrate the grand opening of its new North American manufacturing and headquarters facility in Suwanee, GA, September 23 - 24. The Oktoberfest-themed event will bring in company dignitaries from overseas and include an in-depth look at the new facility, technology seminars, a private tour of the ZF Wind Power Plant and traditional German fare.

Highlights of the new location include manufacturing potential for two product lines; expanded service for large products, e.g., chucks over 13' in diameter; on-site customer training; and more applications engineering support capacity.
The technology seminars will include discussions on ROHM's modular CAPTIS workpiece clamping system for turning, milling and drilling applications; DURO-NCSE power chucks with a quick-acting jaw change system; ABSIS power-operated segment mandrel with a flanged seat for internal clamping; as well as how the company's workholding and automation technology plays into lights-out and just-in-time manufacturing.
Oktoberfest attendees will have the opportunity to tour the ZF Wind Power plant in nearby Gainesville. During the tour, attendees will see how ZF, also a German-based company, uses ROHM products in the manufacture of its wind turbine gearboxes, some weighing as much as 16 tons.
