Vargus has launched the new MACH 25 line of specialized threading tools for the oil and gas industry. The MACH 25 is engineered to deliver longer tool life, reduced machining time and fewer required passes compared to previous generations.

At the heart of the MACH 25 is the Vargus Dovetail Clamping System, providing rigid clamping designed for high loads. This versatile system allows single-sided and double-sided inserts to be mounted on the same holder body.
The inserts themselves feature an improved rake and reinforced geometry for high resistance that requires fewer passes. They are manufactured from the VK8 grade, a premium AlTiN + TiN PVD coated material providing enhanced wear resistance for general purpose oil and gas applications.
An improved profile design provides improved surface finishes when threading, while an advanced surface treatment reinforces the cutting edge and enhances overall surface quality.
The MACH 25 line is available for API Buttress Casing, API Round Casing & Tubing and GOST (OTTM/OTTG) standards. Toolholders are offered in external and internal styles, both with coolant-through capability.
The MACH 25 line has been fully integrated into the Vargus GENius tool selector and CNC program generator software. This solution helps ensure proper tool selection and programming for optimized performance.
