DNM 5700 4th Generation VMC

DN Solutions will be featuring the at IMTS 2024. This newest version of DN Solutions' best-selling VMC incorporates a long list of performance enhancements designed to increase machining productivity.

The DNM 5700 4th Generation features significantly faster X-, Y- and Z-axis rapid traverse rates of 42, 42 and 36 m/min (1654, 1654 and 1417 IPM) respectively, an increase from 36, 36, and 30 m/min (1,417, 1,417 and 1,181 IPM) from the previous generation machine. Additionally, the ACC/DEC rates have been increased to 0.7, 0.6, and 0.5 g in X, Y, and Z, a substantial improvement from the previous generation's 0.47, 0.41, and 0.43 g.

The maximum cutting feedrate has been increased from 15 m/min to 36 m/min (590 IPM to 1,417 IPM) in the new DNM 4th Generation machines. Chip-to-chip times have also been improved, from 4.4 seconds to 4.1 seconds with the ATC shutter, and from 3.7 seconds to 3.4 seconds without the ATC shutter.

"With over 50,000 installations worldwide, the DNM is our best-selling VMC," said Andy McNamara, Vice President of Sales at DN Solutions America. "Even though our DNM customers were overwhelmingly satisfied with their machines, we have listened to their feedback and incorporated improvements into the new generation of DNM machines. The productivity enhancements in the DNM 4th Generation make it an even better value proposition than before."

With X/Y/Z travels of 1,050 mm/570 mm/510 mm (41.3"/22.4"/20.1"), the DNM 5700 represents the middle and most popular size of the 4th Generation series lineup. The smaller DNM 4500 with 800 mm/450 mm/510 mm (31.5" / 17.7" / 20.1") travels and larger DNM 6700 with 1300 mm / 670 mm/625 mm (51.2"/26.4"/24.6") travels are also available. All three come with many standard features including BIG-PLUS spindles, FANUC controls with upgraded EZ WORK software and grease lubrication for the axis roller guideways.

The automation-ready DNM 5700 4th Generation will be on display at IMTS 2024 with an integrated robotic bin picking cell.
