NCCS Software on Display

Numerical Control Computer Sciences (NCCS) will showcase the latest version of its flagship product NCL as well as other state-of-the-art manufacturing solutions, including PostWorks Connect, an advanced multi-axis universal postprocessor, and NCL/IPV, which provides high performance, realistic, simultaneous material removal and CNC machine tool simulation.

NCL offers a blend of automated and user-controlled toolpath generation techniques that result in reduced programming and machine cycle time and increased quality.

"NCL's combination of power, flexibility and tool control will give users a distinct advantage over the competition by allowing users to quickly produce any part, reduce machine time, improve quality and increase profits," said a company spokesperson. NCL is updated annually, including the most recent addition of the PMill option, which provides a new milling technique within NCL.

PostWorks is a universal 2- through 10-axis postprocessor and postprocessor generator. It features 5-axis + support, the ability to convert NC code for virtually any machine/controller combination and a variety of intuitive features as standard.

PostWorks Connect is the latest innovation, utilizing an intuitive graphical interface that allows the user to generate CNC machine code as well as host a full development environment capable of creating complex post-processors, all within the same interface.

A few highlighted features include:

  • One postprocessor solution for all machines
  • Macro capability for advanced customization
  • Plug-in control to convert any known CAD/CAM format for virtually any CNC machine
  • Automatic generation of tool lists, operator data, etc, using bespoke plugin scripts written in any popular programming language.

"These key features of NCL and PostWorks will help companies get the most out of their software investment by increasing programming proficiency, in addition to improving the quality and accuracy of their NC programs," said the spokesperson.
