Solution-Driven Machine Tools

Starrag will present its latest innovations from across the company's diverse portfolio of high-performance, solution-driven machine tools.

In booth 338556, Starrag will showcase the new Bumotec 191neo, designed for small part precision machining. A complete machining solution, the Bumotec 191neo enables manufacturers to produce parts from bars or blanks. Incorporating new generation linear motors, 7-axes and three spindles with five simultaneous axes and up to 90 tools, it is suited for a variety of industry sectors. At IMTS, the capability of this machine will be demonstrated with live machining demos of complex medical components.

One more highlight on the booth will be the parallel kinematic machining head Sprint Z3, the heart of the Ecospeed series for machining aluminum structural parts. It will demonstrate Starrag's expertise for the aerospace industry.

For those products not at IMTS, Starrag will present its latest turn/mill product lines with technical presentations. A special focus will be on the product lines of vertical turning lathes. Starrag experts will give insights into the enhanced customer benefits of the new machines Dörries VT28 for wind power applications and the Berthiez VT16 for engine applications.

The machines can also be viewed in Starrag's new media library. www.Media.starrag.com is a hub for all digitalized solutions. It bundles together all of the digital information the company offers: from brochures, videos and TecTalk interviews to all digital issues of the Star customer magazine and as a highlight 360° applications and the Bumotec virtual showroom. The Starrag media library demonstrates how virtual technologies enable proactive experiences. This virtual experience will also be transferred to the IMTS booth. Starrag solutions and applications will be presented interactively using VR glasses.

Starrag will also present the merits of its latest machine developments that include the new Heckert H Compact Series of twin pallet HMCs, the STC1250 HD HMC and the Droop+Rein FOGS HD 6-axis overhead gantry type machining center. Experts will be available throughout the week to showcase the groundbreaking technology from Starrag brands such as Dörries, Berthiez, Bumotec, Droop+Rein, Heckert, Scharmann, SIP and TTL.

The diversity of the Starrag portfolio will be demonstrated at IMTS with the Bumotec 191neo machining small medical parts, while a range of large components from sectors as diverse as aerospace, energy, transportation and more will also be displayed. Complementing the technology on the stand will be the joint solution of Starrag's technology partner Pokolm Frästechnik GmbH & Co. KG for machining large landing gears. Pokolm is an industry innovator with a portfolio of products that includes everything from solid carbide tools and indexable insert tooling to arbores, adaptors, tool bodies, shrink fit and high-speed spindle technology as well as an expansive range of accessories.
