Lyndex-Nikken Expands Sales Team



Chris Dones, Dana Smith and Aaron Boughter

Lyndex-Nikken, manufacturer and provider of high-performance machine tool accessories, announced the expansion of its sales team to better serve the evolving needs of industry in the U.S. and Canada. The company welcomes three seasoned professionals: Chris Dones, Regional Sales Manager for Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Eastern Canada; Dana Smith, Regional Sales Representative in Ohio; and Aaron Boughter, Regional Sales Representative in Arizona.

These additions further Lyndex-Nikken's commitment to delivering expert knowledge, support and quality tooling solutions to customers in these regions.

With a career spanning over 26 years in the manufacturing industry, Dones has a wealth of knowledge about precision engineering and cutting tool sales. The first 16 years of his career were dedicated to honing his skills and expertise with cutting tools and workholding. This included operating CNC machines, delivering tailored solutions, troubleshooting complex production issues and implementing innovative strategies to streamline processes. Transitioning into cutting tool sales over the last decade, He leveraged his foundational knowledge in precision engineering and immersed himself in cutting-edge technologies and emerging trends. Collaborating closely with global sales teams, he played a pivotal role in developing and introducing advanced cutting solutions that drive efficiency and performance across various manufacturing sectors. Throughout his tenure in cutting tool sales, Dones has embraced innovation as the driving force behind delivering unparalleled value to manufacturers. He remains committed to driving positive change and shaping the future of manufacturing through cutting-edge solutions and an unwavering dedication to customer success.

With 17 years of extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, Smith possesses a well-rounded background encompassing field technical expertise, troubleshooting and strategic recommendation of machine tool accessories to machine tool buyers. His journey into the machine tool industry began as a field service engineer, where he spent 12 years honing his skills in mechanical and electrical systems, alongside mastering advanced troubleshooting techniques. Throughout his tenure, Smith delved into the intricacies of CAD software, leveraging its capabilities to tackle complex problems and articulate design concepts, thereby enriching his proficiency in technical selling. Drawing from his extensive experience in the field, Smith transitioned into a sales role and adeptly identified optimal machine tool accessories that align seamlessly with the unique requirements of clients' manufacturing operations. Smith is accredited as a Certified Manufacturing Technology Sales Engineer (CMTSE) by the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT).

With over 25 years of extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, Boughter has a wealth of knowledge about precision engineering and cutting tool sales. His career began in 1998, where he spent 13 years leading the CNC department at a prominent aftermarket motorcycle parts company. During his tenure, Boughter was deeply involved in every facet of the manufacturing process, from meticulous planning and procurement of materials and tooling to precise programming. Boughter then transitioned into the supply side of manufacturing tool sales, and for the last 12 years he was an outside sales representative for a cutting tools distributor on the West Coast. His role required him to leverage his manufacturing expertise to meet the needs of clients and deliver exceptional service. In this role he developed a reputation for exceeding sales targets and fostering long-term client relationships.
