PMA and CTMA to Host Inaugural Conference and Suppliers Expo May 14

The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) Southern New England District, in partnership with the Connecticut Tooling and Machining Association (CTMA), announced it will hold the first-ever PMA/CTMA Conference and Suppliers Expo on May 14, 2024, from 12:30 to 7:00 PM, at the Sheraton Hartford South, 100 Capital Blvd., Rocky Hill, CT.

At this inaugural event, an exclusive group of 25 suppliers to the metalforming, tooling and machining industries will showcase their capabilities and present the latest technologies and services to an anticipated audience of 100 manufacturers from Connecticut and across the southern New England region.

In addition to the exhibits, several breakout sessions will be presented throughout the day by experts on topics of importance to all manufacturers. Presentations will cover cybersecurity in manufacturing, additive manufacturing for tool and die, lean six sigma principles, Connecticut state funding and the apprenticeship program, the state of manufacturing in Connecticut and the impact of the upcoming elections on manufacturers.

Registration for attendees is $40 for PMA/CTMA members and $80 for nonmembers, and includes show entry, food, beverages and all presentations.

"We are excited to partner with CTMA to bring the inaugural PMA/CTMA Conference and Suppliers Expo to our region," said Lucas Karabin, President of Acme Monaco Corporation and PMA Southern New England District Director. "This first-of-its-kind event is an excellent networking and learning opportunity, allowing participants to conduct meaningful business interactions with current and prospective suppliers, while strengthening their technical and management expertise."

The PMA Southern New England District officers invite manufacturing professionals and all others interested in supporting the industry to attend the Conference and Suppliers Expo on May 14.
