Technological Innovations and Manufacturing Solutions

Matsuura will feature its latest technological innovations and manufacturing solutions at IMTS, including the new MX-420 PC10 5-axis VMC, the H.Plus-300 PC15 HMC, the MAM72-52V PC15 5-axis VMC and the MAM72-70V PC2 5-axis VMC.

MX-420 PC4

Following the success of the MX-330 PC10, Matsuura recently introduced the MX-420 PC10 5-axis VMC configured with 10 pallets and 90 tools. "Featuring Matsuura's automation technology, the hand-built, fully automated MX-420 PC10 provides affordable and reliable unmanned 5-axis production," said a company spokesperson.

This new 5-axis machine offers a larger work envelope than the MX-330 PC10 in a compact footprint. "The MX-420 PC10 has enhanced ergonomics, intuitive controls and full simultaneous 5-axis capability, allowing machine shops to meet their customers' increasing demand for shorter lead times and higher tolerances across multiple faces," said the spokesperson.

The MX-420 PC10 is equipped with the Matsuura G-Tech 31i touchscreen with a large display for operator comfort and precise control.

H.Plus-300 PC15

The Matsuura H.Plus-300 PC15 HMC is engineered to be a productive machine tool with high speed, rigidity, precision, reliability and low cost of ownership. "Equipped with 15 pallets and up to 530 tools, the H.Plus-300 PC15 provides maximized and optimized unmanned production and sustained spindle and machine utilization rates of more than 90%," said the spokesperson.

The H.Plus-300 PC15 offers enhanced rigidity for accurate metalcutting, along with ATC/APC options to support unmanned operation and flexible manufacturing systems. Offering floor space savings of more than 15%, the H.Plus-300 PC15 has a compact footprint and comes with a variety of MAXIA spindle choices.

"Matsuura MAXIA Spindles are renowned for their enduring and accurate performance when cutting everything from aerospace aluminum, to hardened steels to exotic materials. Matsuura's own Thermal Displacement Compensation Function assures repeatability in cut time and over long production runs," said the spokesperson.

MAM72-52V PC15

"Designed from the ground up and based upon 30+ years of multipallet automation innovation and excellence, Matsuura's MAM72-52V PC15 is a high speed, large capacity 5-axis VMC that provides efficiency in cost-sensitive, high-volume markets," said the spokesperson. "Matsuura's MAM72-52V PC15 is a 'factory in one machine' that enables variable-part/variable-production and extended unmanned operation."

The MAM72-52V PC15 is equipped with 130 tools on a 330-tool magazine base, tower pallet system (PC15) and chip removal system as standard for extended lights-out manufacturing. It is ergonomically designed to offer end users faster response times to market and deliver high productivity.

MAM72-70V PC2

The Matsuura MAM72-70V PC2 is built from the ground up to run unattended and can perform simultaneous high-speed 5-axis machining operations.

The MAM72-70V PC2 high-speed, large capacity 5-axis VMC is designed to handle larger workpieces than existing MAM72 models and offers faster response times. "The MAM72-70V PC2 delivers higher productivity to meet customer's needs, while delivering pallet and productivity solutions to keep your work center efficiently producing components around the clock," said the spokesperson.

The MAM72-70V PC2 is Internet of Things (IoT) ready, delivering measurable remote and real time monitoring of the machine status, condition and performance.

Matsuura LUMEX

The Matsuura LUMEX Team will be available to discuss Matsuura's Metal Additive Manufacturing Service Bureau and its production of 3D metal printed and machined parts. Matsuura offers quick-turn prototyping producing a wide range of parts, including functional prototypes and low- to mid-volume production runs.

"Matsuura and your exclusive Matsuura Distributor Service Personnel can assist in the management of your complete project-from conception to first production, from training to long-term after sales technical and service support," said the spokesperson.
