Within its 17,000 sq. ft. booth, Okuma will exhibit at IMTS a comprehensive product and service line-up including 15 CNC machines, eight automation systems and a dedicated service and technology area to showcase comprehensive services for Okuma customers and smart manufacturing solutions driven by the company's proprietary OSP control.
Highlights include the debut of three new CNC machines, a next-generation proprietary energy management technology, new digital twin capabilities and a centralized media studio designated to hosting podcasts, media events and presentations.
"In addition to experiencing hands-on products, services and technologies, booth guests will find purposeful themes that reinforce the company's commitment to opening new possibilities for manufacturers by assisting them with adapting to new ways of doing business," said a company spokesperson. "Customers are further supported by Okuma's distribution network and Partners in THINC network of supporting companies and technologies, all of which will be highlighted in the booth and in an anticipated virtual booth. Booth visitors will also gain insights into Okuma initiatives that are making positive impacts on social and environmental issues."
15 CNC Machines with Demos
Okuma will display 15 CNC machines at the show, all of which will be running live demonstrations. Three of the machines on display will be new products designed to bring unique manufacturing opportunities to the market:

Okuma machine tools are engineered to ensure automation systems can be easily integrated. Currently Okuma offers OEM-developed automation systems as well as the ability to pair with industry-leading automation systems offered by its partners. Eight of the 15 machine tools on display will be featured with automation systems.

Smart Manufacturing Solutions and Technologies
Each Okuma IMTS show machine tool will be equipped with Okuma's proprietary OSP CNC control. The OSP control is an open-architecture control system that provides all machine data and controls on a single user interface. The OSP control combines intelligent technologies and can utilize OEM and third-party apps to enable a customized user experience.
The following OSP technologies will be highlighted at IMTS 2022:
