3rd Generation ULTRASONIC Machining Solution

DMG MORI recently launched the 3rd Generation ULTRASONIC machining solution.
Designed for advanced materials, the ULTRASONIC solution is engineered to provide reduced process forces, increased tool life and increased surface finishes in ceramics, composites and super alloys.
Integrated into the various DMG MORI platform offerings, the 3rd Generation brings additional capabilities. Intelligent software and algorithms are designed to provide optimal frequency and power condition for each tool type. This data is automatically stored in the tool table for future use. Constant amplitude during the process provides repeat accuracy. Live auto tracking of the working frequency significantly improves the quality of signal and eliminates deviations caused by signal errors. With CELOS the ULTRASONIC cockpit provides real-time process monitoring and performance data. This allows the ability to monitor the ULTRASONIC values to provide high performance feedrate control.
