Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing (KAM) has announced the addition of Dr. Robin Tuluie to the company's growing roster of industry experts. In his new role as Chief Scientist at KAM, Tuluie will be responsible for CAD simulation strategies and capabilities.
Residing in Oxford, England, Tuluie comes to KAM with a storied career in simulation and motorsports. In his most recent position at Bentley Motors, Tuluie served as the company's Director of Vehicle Technology where he was responsible for engineering simulation strategy and capability while also working on innovation and racing projects. Tuluie has worked on projects in Formula One (F1), MotoGP, IndyCar, Formula E and the GT3 Series. He holds patents under F1, MotoGP and within the automotive space.
Prior to his time at Bentley Motors, Tuluie was Chief Scientist and Head of R&D for the Mercedes F1 team, helping the team secure their first championships in 2014 and 2015 with Lewis Hamilton. Prior to Mercedes, he was Head of R&D for Renault F1, where his R&D team innovated the tuned mass damper, the fluid inerter and other F1 suspension systems. Tuluie played a pivotal role with the Renault F1 team, winning two world championships with Fernando Alonso in 2005 and 2006.
"Engineering is the tip of the spear at KAM, and having Robin on board to drive advanced simulation further expands the solutions and resources we can bring to our customers," said KAM founder and CEO Brad Keselowski. "To us, engineering includes CAE, CAD, CAM as well as advanced simulation. That is been one of the biggest struggles with additive, but one of the most important, which is why Robin is such a crucial piece of the puzzle. He has been tested and proven to be the best in one of the harshest and most unforgiving environments, and we believe he will be instrumental in taking the company to the next level. Naturally, he is going to help strengthen our position in the additive marketplace, but more importantly, our customers will now have access to one of the world's top talents in the simulation space. Everyone wins."
Tuluie said, "I am delighted to join KAM at such a crucial time, when engineering and manufacturing are being rapidly transformed within Industry 4.0. Brad's vision and leadership have been foresighted to where KAM is building the capabilities to fully leverage the synergies of simulation and additive. Our goal is to deliver rapid products, not just rapid prototypes. I love the racing team mentality ingrained in the company, along with the culture and experience of the team. It is a culture I know well, which gets things done right the first time. Having worked with John Murray on various projects over the last 20 years, I know we are going to do some exciting and groundbreaking work at KAM."
