Large-Diameter Dark Field Washdown Ring Light

"Smart Vision Lights offers its DFLW-200 dark field washdown ring light, the first of its kind on the market," said a company spokesperson. Available in an anodized black aluminum housing, the IP68-rated, large-diameter light features the Multi-Drive driver, which allows the light to work in continuous operation or OverDrive strobe mode. In addition, SafeStrobe technology applies safe working parameters to ensure that high-current LEDs are not damaged when driven beyond their limits.

The DFLW-200 uses a microlens turning film. When combined with high-power LEDs, the microlens turning film directs a beam of light at a 25° angle toward the object, resulting in a highly concentrated and uniform field of illumination. This technique gives large-diameter dark field ring lights an extended working distance with no loss of light intensity or uniformity.

Other features include an industry-standard 5-pin M12 connector that makes for simple wiring. The 1-10V DC analog signal line gives the user total control over intensity in continuous operation mode. Grounding the analog signal line puts the light into OverDrive strobe mode. Smart Vision Lights recommends using the DFLW-200 at a working distance between 20 mm and 75 mm. A version of the light using stainless steel housing is also available for food-grade applications.
