All-Electric Press Brake Line

JMT has introduced a new line of electric press brakes designed to deliver better energy efficiencies, faster bending speeds and higher accuracies. "The JMT Eco Bend electric press brakes, which utilize a direct drive servo system instead of hydraulics, consume 40% less power than equivalent size hydraulic press brakes," said a company spokesperson.

"Our Eco Bend machines are not only more energy efficient, they are capable of very fast cycle times," said JMT President Jared Peterson. "The JMT Eco Bend design uses a ball screw and servo motor to drive the ram, which eliminates dwell time and increases the cycle speed. This design also decreases the need for crowning along the length of the bend, delivering improved accuracy and repeatability."

Three models provide a range of production capacities, from the large JMT-EB10030, 100 metric ton, 10' brake down to the small JMT-EB2512, 25 metric ton, 4' model. Optional back gauges, ranging from 3-axis to 6-axis, make it possible to bend a wide variety of part geometries.
