Interchangeable Tip Drill Series

Tungaloy Corporation has expanded its DrillMeister series of interchangeable tip drills. This expansion adds new drill head diameters ranging from 20.0 to 25.9 mm (0.787" to 1.020") to the TID flange type bodies with a drilling depth of L/D=1.5-8.

"DrillMeister features simple and swift drill head indexing due to its unique self-clamping system," said a company spokesperson. "Tool replacement is easy: just replace the drill head - no need to remove the whole drill body from the toolholder and readjust the tool overhang. Drill heads can be mounted and dismounted with minimal torque and can be done in the machine as needed."

The flange type drill body is designed for enhanced chip evacuation due to the high helical flute angle and polished flute surface. "Excellent chip evacuation can be achieved even in drilling deep holes of L/D=5 or deeper where chip evacuation tends to be difficult," said the spokesperson.
