Vision Engineering's new optical (Lynx EVO left) and digital (EVO Cam right) inspection products
Vision Engineering Inc. introduced two new inspection products at MD&M West, the Lynx EVO, a new high productivity eyepiece-less stereo microscope, and the EVO Cam, a full HD digital microscope. Both products are designed for ease of use and for accurate inspection of medical devices.
"The Lynx EVO eliminates strain and difficulty encountered when using eyepiece stereo microscopes," said a company spokesperson. In addition to the ergonomic advantages, the eye piece-less advantage of the Lynx EVO's patented design gives users 3-D (stereo) imaging. "Medical components can be thoroughly examined for surface imperfections such as burrs and dust debris, making sure every product meets all specifications," said the spokesperson.
"The Lynx EVO provides fast and accurate inspection of medical devices manufactured from plastics, rubber or metal," said the spokesperson. "Enhanced imaging and ergonomics supports simple hand-eye coordination, critical for precision inspection tasks, re-work, repair and other manipulation activities."
The Lynx EVO offers an expanded 10:1 zoom ratio with long working distances, while providing users the ability to inspect up to 120x magnification (6x - 60x standard). Lynx EVO is available in a range of configurations. Accessories include HD image capture, plus a 360° rotating viewer.
"The new EVO Cam digital microscope brings to life a microscopic world in great detail, with magnification options up to 300x and full auto focus to ensure ultra-sharp imaging at all times, ideal for medical device inspection, re-work, repair and other manipulation activities," said the spokesperson.
The EVO Cam provides live video streaming and full-HD 1,080p/60fps image quality with integral image capture direct to USB memory stick (without a PC) for simplicity.
"An integral eight-point LED ring light provides shadow-free illumination and a large 30:1 optical zoom enables viewing of whole samples or small details at the touch of a button. The EVO cam is also designed for tasks requiring an extra-long working distance," said the spokesperson.
A range of stand options are available, including a floating stage that is designed for inspecting fragile samples and avoiding contamination.
