Asia Pacific Elite Corp. (APEC), a machine tool builder of both standard and custom built five 5-axis machines, and CNC Systems, a machine tool importer and distributor in the New England area since 1987, are working together to provide quicker deliveries on all of the of 5-axis machines that APEC manufactures.

"Since its inception, APEC's strong technical team has provided state-of-the-art 5-axis high performance machines that satisfy the requirement for aerospace, die & mold industry, automotive, composites and carbon fiber reinforced polymer manufacturing," said a company spokesperson.

The spokesperson continued, "APEC has always been known for its high-rail 5-axis machines, including the standard G/SK Series; the GM/SKM Series with the box-in-box Y-axis design that allows for Y-axis travels of up to 5 m and Z-axis travels of up to 3 m; and the MC Dual and the SK Twin Series that have a Y-axis of up to 3 m and a Z-axis of up to 20 m long with dual 5-axis heads designed for extremely long and thin aircraft parts.

"However, the newer machines like the GR-800 (800 mm trunnion), the HS-1400 (with a 1,000 mm pallet) and the larger MDU-2000/2500 (with a 1,250 mm pallet) are designed for smaller parts that require heavy duty machining for materials like titanium alloys, nickel-based alloys, super alloys and other difficult materials."

Depending on the model, these machines can be designed with a single pallet up to an eight pallet (or larger) pallet pool.

The machines are imported by CNC Systems Inc. with locations in California and New England.
