Expanded Chuck Kit Line for Indexers and Rotary Tables

Gator has expanded its line of universal base plates designed for Gator plain back and adjustable, front mount chucks. Both base plates and front mount chucks are designed to be used on a wide selection of indexers, rotary tables and trunnions.

Base plates are offered for:

  • Three- and 6-jaw adjustable scroll chucks
  • Three- and 4-jaw precision and universal scroll chucks
  • Three-jaw large through-hole scroll chucks
  • 5C collet chucks
  • Three-jaw pneumatic chucks.

Front mount chuck and base plate kits are offered for chuck diameters 5" through 20". Larger diameters (up to 50") and custom executions are available as a special order.

Gator base plates are available in three different executions:

  • Baseplates with built-in centering ring
  • Baseplates with inserted centering ring
  • Baseplates without centering ring.

All baseplates are made of steel, and are heat treated and ground within tight tolerances. "Simple, quick and accurate installation allow Gator baseplates and chucks to be used in a wide variety of indexing applications on VTLs, milling and drilling machines, on lathes and grinders and on welding fixtures," said a company spokesperson. "They are also popular in many quality control applications. Adjustable chucks and related baseplates allow the end user to center round workpieces with high accuracy against the table/indexer center."
