Jaw Boring Rings Securely Grip Large Diameter Chucks

"Dillon Jaw Forming rings, or Jaw Boring Rings, provide uniform pressure on jaws, allowing soft jaws or full-grip jaws to be precisely machined," said a company spokesperson. "A firmer grip of the workpiece allows for a more consistent bore, especially on large diameter chucks. Dillon Jaw Forming Rings provide a jaw surface true to the machine centerline, reduce set-up times and increase up-times for running machined parts. These self-centering rings attach to the front of jaws without tools, making installation simple and fast. They compensate for jaw lift even in worn chucks, which yields better part concentricity." They are suitable for CNC lathes and are available in diameter-specific models or adjustable models to suit a range of diameters.

Chuck-diameter-specific versions are available for 5", 6", 8", 10", 12", 15" and 18" chucks. Adjustable boring rings are available for 5" to 8", 6" to 10" and 9" to 12" chucks. Either style features no-tools attachment.
