Precision 5C Toolroom Lathe with Servo Threading System

Babin Machine Tool has announced the availability of its new precision 5C style toolroom lathe, model TML-5Cst with USA made servo threading system.
Designed for the modeling and low production shop environments, features of the TML-5Cst lathe include Hardinge style wide dovetail bedplate design, direct drive 5 HP spindle to 3,500 RPM, 5C lever collet closer and high precision .0001" toolroom accuracy.
"Manual threading is made easy using color touchscreen for data entry of threading information. No gearbox maintenance, knob settings or external gearing required," said a company spokesperson.
A wide range of metric (.1 mm to 6.35 mm) or traditional English pitch (4 TPI to 250 TPI) are standard as is the ability to program up to four multi-start thread leads and LH threading.
Options include Acu-Rite or Newall DRO system, chucks, collets and toolpost with tooling. All lathes are delivered from the Babin Machine Tool facility and each TML-5C lathe is fully qualified for accuracy, fit and finish before delivery to the customer.

Other available lathe models are the TML-5Cem with manual threading gearbox and model TML-5Cnc with full manual and CNC capabilities featuring USA made Centroid T400 conversational CNC control.
