ABLE Machine Tool Sales Names Vice President of Product Support

Marcy Venne

Marcy Venne, a well-known face and voice of ABLE Machine Tool Sales, has been promoted from service manager to Vice President of Product Support where she will continue to lead ABLE's 14-member service delivery team in providing technical support, machine tool servicing and training to customers. Venne has been the link between equipment suppliers and customers, making sure customers get their parts and machine tool products in the timeliest way. In her new role, Venne will work between ABLE's sales, operations and service departments to provide product support to customers, helping them keep their machines performing optimally from cradle to grave.

"I will have more responsibilities, but my job is still to keep everybody's existing machines running and get new parts and accessories to customers as quickly and safely as possible with the least amount of downtime," said Venne.

Venne's service team serves customers from northern Maine to Rhode Island. They provide technical support, operator training, machine installation, as well as add custom accessories and update and repair aging machines. Reporting to Venne will be Sean Donahue, who is replacing her as Service Manager, and Parts Coordinator Emily Rose.

"Marcy sees that work gets done as quickly as possible for our customers," said ABLE's CEO Alan Lockery. "Over the last 10 years alone, under Marcy's management, the Service Department has earned 10 prestigious awards for Outstanding Service and gets compliments from customers all the time. Marcy recently received personal recognition from DN Solutions for Service Excellence. She is good with customers and prioritizing needs. As VP, her stance will be larger, allowing her to have even closer contact and relationship with our customers and area schools."

Venne promotes strategic thinking and innovative action among her coworkers and with college and high school students. She is involved in job fairs where she inspires high school and college students to consider technical careers. Venne sits on the advisory committee for the machine shop at Westfield Vocational Technical High School to help the school's machine shop teachers and administrators make good decisions on new equipment purchases.

ABLE Machine Tool Sales sells nine OEM machine brands and distributes machine tools to customers throughout the Northeast.
