"Built on the bridge-style machine design of Okuma's MB-Series and Okuma's Thermal-Friendly Concept, these machines allow for quicker cycle start times (no more waiting for the machine to warm up) and automatically compensate for thermal deformation, for high accuracy and tight tolerances," said the spokesperson.
Optional features, including various speed spindles (15k, 20k, 25k, 30k RPM), Collision Avoidance System, Machining Navi (to reduce chatter), 5-axis Auto Tuning System (for improved set-up and alignment) and Super-NURBS (for enhanced finish characteristics), enable manufacturers to specify the machine to meet individual needs and productivity performance requirements.
Available in three sizes (MU-400VII, MU-500VII and MU-6300V) the MU series features the operator-friendly THINC-OSP control - a true PC, Windows-based platform with open architecture, USB capability and large memory allowing easy connectivity of complementary and peripheral equipment.
