JMT RP Series Punch Presses
JMT offers a TP Series punch press for small, medium and large format sheet processing. The series has punching, forming, tapping and wheel technology capabilities. The TP Series is available in 20- and 30-ton versions.
The TP Series frame is a stress relieved O-frame. The flexible turret configuration helps to eliminate tool set-ups. Moving parts are lubricated automatically. The control has user-friendly CAD-CAM software.
The programmable sheet clamping system increases productivity. Automation can be integrated for efficient and lean operations and for increasing operator safety and decreasing operator fatigue.
The punching head stroke rates are 1,200 strokes per minute during punching and 1,800 per minute during marking. The control adjusts stroke travel speed. Advanced ram positioning is produced by a closed loop hydraulic Hartmann Lammle and a table axis drive by Siemens servo motors producing +/- 0.1 mm positioning accuracy and +/- 0.5 mm repeatable accuracy.
The machine is capable of speeds up to 96 m/min in the X-axis, 80 m/min in the Y-axis.
"Variable dwell time at the bottom of the stroke provides high quality forming, often eliminating secondary processing. Electronic adjustment simplifies setup of progressive forms, flanges and embossments," said a JMT spokesperson.
The tool turret has three auto-indexing stations. Tools are rotatable in 0.01" increments enabling the processing of complex shaped parts with the minimum number of tools. Tool change takes less than three seconds to complete a total turret movement and 0.6 seconds for a single tool.
JMT also offers the TRP Series punch presses with single rotational heads and versatile stress relieved, steel, C-frame construction. The JMP punch press top and bottom tools work in synchronization to obtain all required angular pitch of +/- 0.02". The rotational speed of the head is 40 RPM. Index position punching is produced by the zero backlash harmonic drive gear system. Automatic repositioning in the X-axis enables punching longer than 2 M and eliminates the dead area on the sheet.
A work chute discharges processed small workpieces without interruption or manual manipulation. For safety the JMT punch press is equipped with an infrared barrier system meeting CE conformity. Loading and unloading systems can be integrated for efficient and lean operations.
The TRP Series is available in 20- or 30-ton machines.
