Haas HFO Coming Event April 16

Haas Factory Outlet (HFO), a division of Champions Machine Tool (CMTS), has announced it will host an Open House Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at its Austin area location. The event will take place at 375 Commercial Drive, Buda, TX, 78610, and will be held from 10 AM until 4 PM Lunch will be served from 11 AM until 1 PM.

In conjunction with the Open House event, the Buda showroom will also be the host site the following day, Thursday, April 17th, for a special event hosted by MSC Industrial Supply. Haas machines will be utilized to show the performance value of several manufacturers MSC represents.

The Haas event will feature the latest high-speed, high-production CNC machines from Haas Automation. Haas machines to be demonstrated will include an EC-400 horizontal machining center (HMC) with twin pallets suited for small batch production as well as mass production, and the new UMC Universal Machining Center with 3+2-axis capability. The live demos on each machine will allow customers to see the versatility and productivity available from the full Haas line of CNC products. Local customers will also display products and capabilities. In the past the customer products have ranged from high-end weapons systems to innovative bicycle transmissions.

Everyone who attends the event will receive some Haas items and a BBQ lunch; drawings for door prizes will also be held. Haas applications engineers - along with representatives from major tooling, workholding and CAD/CAM manufacturers - will be on hand to share insights with attendees in adapting the newest machine technology and manufacturing strategies to the shop floor.

CMTS has been serving customers in the South and Central Texas area for over 33 years. Champions added an HFO division over 17 years ago, giving it exclusive rights to sell Haas CNC equipment in its region. CMTS currently sells over 300 CNC machines per year and employs 37 people, including 18 full time service technicians who drive fully stocked vans. The company keeps over $2 million of parts on site in Spring, TX, to service the 5,500 plus machines in South Texas.
