New SRG Grinding Steady Rest

SMW Autoblok has added the SRG grinding steady rest to its lineup. Specifically designed to support shaft type workpieces on grinding machines, the SRG line may be utilized for crankshaft and camshaft applications. Three sizes are available, providing a clamping diameter range of 20 to 85 mm.
"Horizontal and vertical fine adjustments of the grinding center make high-precision grinding possible," said a company spokesperson. "In combination with the retractable arms, these allow for rapid set-up, making this steady rest suitable for follow down grinding as well."
The SRG line features a port for compressed air, stroke control and central lubrication.
