Heavy-Duty Drill Presses



Knuth Machine Tools USA offers its SSB series of heavy-duty drill presses. The SSB series is designed for drilling, countersinking, reaming and tapping. Available in four models, the Knuth SSB series feature up to three HP motors and gearbox drive with drilling capacity up to 2". The Super series feature variable speed and motorized table. Thick walled column construction provides rigidity for optimum drilling and tapping results.

The SSB series is available in two different classes, the Super class with a fixed head, motorized-swivel table, coolant, variable speed and digital depth indicator. The standard XN class has a height and swivel adjusting head, height and swivel adjusting table and digital speed display. Three or four automatic drill feeds are activated and deactivated via an electromagnetic clutch. Both models are built to CE standards with brand name electronic components from Schneider Electric.

Standard equipment includes a tapping feature, protective shield, coolant system, halogen work lamp, operating tools and an operator's manual.

Knuth Machine Tools was established in 1923 in Germany, and has operations in 40 countries. The SSB drill presses are part of Knuth's large range of machining and fabricating equipment that includes radial drills, milling machines, lathes, band saws, grinders, as well as cutting, forming and bending equipment.
