The DHF 5550 simultaneous 5-axis HMC will be making its North American debut at IMTS 2026. Built for stable cutting performance and high reliability even in heavy-duty machining, this new machining center features a horizontal fixed spindle and tilting table design for completion of complex parts in a single set-up.
The DHF 5500 is engineered for medium to large size parts in aerospace, defense, and energy production industries. With XYZ travels of 900 mm x 950 mm x 900 mm (35.4" x 37.4" x 35.4"), an A-axis rotation of 225° (-180 ~ +45), and a 360° B-axis, the machine accommodates workpieces up to o900 x H760 mm (o35.4" x H29.9") and 700 kg (1,543 lbs.). An integrated servo-type APC with 630 mm pallets allows one workpiece to be loaded while the machine is cutting, providing high productivity and maximum spindle utilization rates.
The Z-axis dual-ball screw structure provides a rigid foundation for the DHF 5000. Linear guides on all axes provide high-precision positioning control, and the advanced thermal management systems help ensure consistent machining quality during long unmanned operation.
The DHF 5500 comes standard with a 20,000 RPM HSK63A spindle, 120 tool magazine, and a Siemens SINUMERK ONE control. Additional options include 15,000 and 30,000 RPM spindle speeds, a 40 taper BIG PLUS spindle interface, and a 275 tool magazine.
