New VMC, Large-Part Turning, and Automation Solutions for the Shop Floor

Innova Machine Tool makes its IMTS debut in booth 338170, using its 3,000 sq. ft. space to highlight machine tool solutions that increase productivity, reduce labor dependency, and improve machine utilization. Visitors to booth 338170 will see Innova's new VMC, a large format vertical turning center from Honor Seiki, a CNC AutoDoor automation system, grinders, hole-poppers, and a compact 5-axis machining center.

After years of being an importer of Taiwanese machine tools, Innova has announced a new project it has been working on as a machine tool designer and developer: "There has been a gap in the VMC market for a combination high-speed and highly rigid machine that meets the requirements of North American manufacturers," said a company spokesperson. "The Innova Ultra series was designed and built for the modern manufacturer, focusing on long-term serviceability, automation capability, and Industry 4.0 readiness."

Honor Seiki uses its 40 years of experience in vertical turning lathes to solve the pain points of manufacturers specializing in large-part turning, like those found in the aerospace, automotive, and energy industries. On display in Innova Machine Tool's booth will be a VL-125CM-a vertical turning lathe with box-way construction and 63" capacity featuring a live spindle speed of 50-2,250 RPM. A vertical turning spindle orientation is specifically designed to simplify loading and locating heavy workpieces while improving chip management and machining stability.

Over the years, manufacturers everywhere have noticed the increased demand for lights-out manufacturing, robotic machine tending, and reduced operator intervention. Innova has launched a CNC-AutoDoor that uses linear motion to transform existing CNC machines into automation-ready assets.

"Compared to pneumatic and servo-driven doors, linear motion delivers consistent speed, reliability, and long-term reliability-especially in robot-tended CNC cells where door timing directly impacts noncut time," said the spokesperson. "With no air cylinders, compressors, or servo drive tuning, the Innova CNC-AutoDoors require lower maintenance over time to keep manufacturers up and running for longer."

Innova CNC-AutoDoor was designed with integrators, dealers, and manufacturers in mind. In Innova's booth, visitors will see how the linear motion system is specifically designed to work with collaborative and industrial robots and automated pallet loading systems.

"Innova Machine Tool invites attendees to booth 338170 during IMTS to speak with application engineers and automation specialists, see live demonstrations, and more," said the spokesperson. "Learn how to increase throughput, reduce labor challenges, and prepare for future growth while Innova showcases practical technologies designed to improve productivity and long-term manufacturing performance."
