ALMCO Spotlights Integrated Parts Finishing and Washing

For efficient, high-volume parts washing, ALMCO will showcase its PW12 multistage, inline parts washing system in booth 338009 at IMTS 2026, providing continuous, flow-through capability with wash, rinse, and blow-off operations. Within an integrated system in the booth, the PW12 will be paired with the company's SBB-8 round bowl finishing machine that delivers extreme efficiency, ease of operation, versatility, and high output.

As part of ALMCO's Spiral Bottom Bowl (SBB) Series, the SBB-8 features an 8 cubic-foot working capacity and is part of the company's latest generation of round finishing machines. As a bottom bowl style unit, the SBB-8 provides a larger open area below its screen to aid in part travel around the bowl during batch processing. It also decreases the final incline to the screen during part discharge.

SBB Series machines also feature processing chambers with continuous retention baffles, including long internal screening sections for effective part removal. Parts-media separator screens allow the media to fall back into the bowl during discharge. Series machines are available in several sizes, and ALMCO will custom-configure them with options for specific end user applications. When equipped with an air-operated discharge door, the machines can be easily integrated into automated systems, eliminating the need for most manual intervention.

After finishing in the SBB-8, parts would move to the PW12 washing system. That system eliminates repeated part lifting, staging, and transfer steps, reducing cycle time and lowering the risk of ergonomic-related injuries. Its continuous part flow between operations also improves throughput, reduces bottlenecks, and supports more predictable production scheduling.

The ALMCO PW12 is 100% custom-designed for each application, with various conveyor widths and belt styles for moving parts directly onto pallets or tombstones. Rust inhibitor and drying sections are also available, and other system features include a variable-speed stainless-steel conveyance system, a removable stainless-steel chip tray, adjustable spray nozzles for 360° coverage, and heated wash and rinse tanks.

At IMTS, ALMCO will showcase its technology alongside Mass Finishing, Inc. and Jorgensen Conveyor & Filtrations Solutions, as providers of manufacturing technology under their parent company, Innovance. Mass Finishing, Inc. provides industrial parts polishing and deburring machines, and Jorgensen is a manufacturer of automated conveyor, filtration, and chip-processing systems for machine tool, metalworking, and material handling applications. Each of the three companies focuses on providing customers with innovative solutions, service, and support.
