Quick-Change 5-Axis Modular Clamp Systems

Fixtureworks modular clamping system with a 35 kN clamping force for large workpieces and molds.

Fixtureworks has expanded its 5-axis modular clamping systems offerings by introducing a larger flanged clamping module with a 35 kN clamping force for large workpieces and molds. The precise 5-axis pull clamps enable machining from five sides, resulting in precise machining accuracy with a single set-up.

The clamping system, with locating repeatability of 5 microns, allows easy tool access and requires no additional machining set-up. The system features a variety of tapered clamping and riser screws and tapered bushings to be used with the new CP150-M20100 module. New M24 size clamping screws, riser screws and tapered bushings are also being added to the lineup.

This modular pull clamping system is designed to save space and increase efficiency in a variety of clamping applications. The clamping system is designed to eliminate tool interference during workpiece machining. The new larger flanged system measures approx. 100 mm x 100 mm: 4" x 4".

Flanged module clamps are used to locate and clamp a workpiece in conjunction with clamping screws. They are secured to the base plate using a socket head cap screw used with a locating bushing precise locating. The body, clamping nut and locking screw are all made from induction hardened steel, precision ground, with a black oxide finish.

In addition to the flanged type clamping system, Fixtureworks offers single, double, as well as hook type modular clamping systems. Together with the special bushings, pins and clamping screws, this modular pull clamping system is designed to save space and increase efficiency in a variety of clamping applications.

In addition to 5-axis modular clamps, Fixtureworks offers the new QCWEA retractable ball lock fasteners, One-Touch Clamping/Locking knobs, pneumatic swing clamps, retractable fasteners, adjustable torque handles and knobs, myriad workholding components and fixturing accessories, including workholding supports, pneumatic flex actuator clamps, nutrunner clamps, quick change pneumatic clamping fasteners, quick action sliding locks spring plunger clamps, as well as handles and levers, knobs and grips, equipment handles, hand wheels and cranks, hinges and latches, leveling supports, industrial rubber bumpers, stops and wheels, fixture clamps, clamping locating systems, work positioning elements, vises, grippers and mechanical linear actuators.
