OptiPro Systems Breaks Ground on Building Addition

OptiPro Systems, LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of precision CNC machines and CAD/CAM software, has begun construction on a 16,000 sq. ft. building addition to its facility in Ontario, NY. The additional space will enable OptiPro to improve efficiency and expand manufacturing operations to best serve its customers in the precision optics, advanced ceramics and metalworking industries.

"It is an exciting time of growth for OptiPro. OptiPro has seen increased activity in many of the sectors of its business, driving the need for this expansion. The expansion will allow for each business segment to grow into larger spaces to meet their customer's needs," said Rob Bechtold, President of OptiPro Systems.

The new addition will increase the machine build staging area for OptiPro's line of equipment. This includes CNC optical grinding and polishing machines, metrology solutions and OptiSonic ultrasonic machining centers for hard ceramic materials. By adding capacity, OptiPro will be able to build more machines simultaneously, giving customers the equipment they need with shorter lead times.

More space will also be created for three other departments: Automation, Research and Development and Advanced Material Processing (AMP). Additional space for these three departments will facilitate continuous advancement of OptiPro technology and capabilities as customer requirements continue to evolve.

Construction is scheduled to be completed in November 2024 and will bring the total facility size to 76,000 sq. ft.
