GEN3SYS XT Pro Structural Steel Insert and 4TEX Drill
September 1, 2024
Allied Machine and Engineering will be highlighting the GEN3SYS XT Pro structural steel insert and 4TEX drill at FABTECH in booth S11016.
The GEN3SYS XT Pro offers high penetration drilling while the structural steel insert is suited for beam and plate holemaking in the structural steel industry-a combination that offers enhanced chip formation, tool life and toughness required for harsh drilling applications. The XT Pro structural steel insert is engineered to provide consistent performance and added durability, and with the improved geometry, insert strength is increased without increasing horsepower consumption. Plus, the point design on the insert, which is stocked in common structural steel hole sizes, increases stability without hindering penetration rates.
With twisted coolant outlets and increased core strength, the 4TEX indexable carbide drill provides improved hole size and finish in addition to allowing increased penetration rates on light duty machines because of its single effective design. The 4TEX drill allows machinists to achieve longer tool life with its four-side inserts, which are designed to use two sides in the center pocket and two sides in the periphery pocket, resulting in an improved cost per hole. Suited for challenging applications with its robust body design, the 4TEX IC drill achieves optimal chip formation with ISO-specific insert geometry and coating combinations and enhanced chip evacuation due to the two twisted coolant outlets as well.
