Larger Process Integration Machine

Based on the success of the Brother SPEEDIO multi-tasking machining, the M140, Brother has introduced a new machine designed with improved rigidity and balance to handle larger part processing.

Like the M140X1 and M140X2, the M300X3 30-taper machine is compact, durable and is equipped with turning and tilt axes. Weighing in at 6,349 lbs., and a machine height of 104.45", this machine requires 59.85" by 152.05" of floor space. Its machining area has a table that is 6.69" in diameter with a maximum loading capacity of 165.3 lbs./table side and 24.3 lbs./tail side. The machine also comes with an optimized processing area with an expanded range of rotation.

The M300X3 supports machining a wide range of parts with its 22-tool magazine and high-speed tool change; tool to tool in .9 seconds, chip to chip in 1.4 seconds. This newer model provides improved surface finishing and usability.

Additional enhanced features of the M300X3 include: 50% larger X-axis stroke, 25% more A-axis clamping torque, 150% more C-axis clamping torque and a high-torque C-axis motor for increased turning torque. The machine comes with a new ATC monitor and machine load monitor, and delivers higher productivity by low inertia motor and movement optimization.

The M300X3 provides a fast acceleration/deceleration spindle motor and the highly responsive servo control allows the machine to achieve quick starting and stopping of the spindle and turning spindle; start/stop time is 0.2 seconds and turning spindle is 0.3 seconds. Original synchronized tapping control enables high accuracy tapping at one of the fastest levels found; peripheral speed is 337 m/min.

Some advantages to the machine include a reduction of handling time. Because turning and milling are performed on one machine, no set-up change is necessary between machines. It also improves the line balance by dividing machining processes more flexibly. Also, since multiple processes can be performed through one-time chucking, workpiece attachment errors are eliminated, and machine accuracy is improved.

The new M300X3's integration of the turning and milling process contribute to high-efficiency machining and bring both time and financial saving advantages to its users.
