Global Tooling Solutions LLC, the exclusive source for Gator DIN/ANSI standard lathe chucks, also has broad capabilities to produce special or custom made manual lathe chucks. Custom solutions can be provided for scroll, independent and combination chucks covering almost every chuck configuration and application that exists on the market; from simple to extremely complex designs and solutions.
Specials can be built across a broad range of chuck diameters (3" - 80"), covering all turning (horizontal and vertical), milling, grinding, drilling, honing, welding and other machining applications.
"Chuck performance is guaranteed and our engineering department can create the custom design based upon your unique application, or we can work with drawings that you provide to build workholding solutions for almost every application possible," said a company spokesperson.
Custom solutions can include special top or master jaws in standard 2, 3, 4 and 6 jaw set-ups, or with non-typical jaw set-ups (for example 5, 8 or 12 jaws) that are designed to grip the workpiece in the most effective way possible.
Solutions can also be provided that include special chuck mountings or adapter plates, non-standard T-slots or special lubrication systems, and chuck bodies can be produced with forged steel or cast iron material giving the end user medium to extra heavy duty capabilities.
