The 23-MT LION Lathe is a mid-range lathe designed to provide a combination of heavy duty construction, rigidity, accuracy and reliability. It is available in 60", 80", 120" and 160" centers.
This precision 23" swing lathe comes standard with a large 4" spindle bore. It features a precise and accurate spindle fitted with SKF or FAG bearings. It is designed with heavy cross ribbed bed construction and has 15 3/4" wide bedways. A heavy duty clutched headstock with hardened and ground gears makes for easy cutting. In addition, this lathe offers many high-end convenience features such as simplified joystick feed operation, standard
4-way rapid traverse and a 2-speed tailstock.
"Like most LION models, this lathe is extremely capable in the threading department," said a company spokesperson. It cuts both inch and metric threads without change of gear. And it offers a large selection of threads (72 different threads) with a range of 60 - 1/4 TPI.
