Automated Tool Measuring Machine



UNITED GRINDING offers the WALTER HELICHECK PLUS, a fully automated measuring machine for micro-sized tools that range between 0.004" and 3.937" in diameter. This machine is designed to offer certified precision through its WALTER Quick Check Modular QCM measuring software, an optics system with no moving parts, and protection from dust and extraneous light for installed cameras with segmented LED sources. The WALTER HELICHECK PLUS includes a certified step gauge, with an optional glass scale also available for even greater accuracy.

While the VDI/VDE 2617 standard established by the Association of German Engineers calls for at least three measurements, the WALTER HELICHECK PLUS performs 10 contactless optical measurements. Its front light and top camera magnify test objects to 400x to visualize and measure minute details down to 0.004", even on high-gloss polished, coated or matte surfaces. For the greatest expediency, the WALTER Quick Assistant measuring technology requires only three steps to conduct assessments.

Options for the WALTER HELICHECK PLUS include a precision center fixture for tools and rotationally symmetrical parts that must be produced between centers for technical reasons, as well as a modular adapter spindle, a light table for measuring flat parts, a special front light system/diffuser with a positioning unit and both digital and analog measuring probes.
