Line of Horizontal Boring Mills Designed for User-Friendliness

Summit Machine Tool Manufacturing L.L.C. offers a line of horizontal boring mills (HBM) designed for efficiency and precision performance. Products in Summit's family of HBMs include the HBM 110 and HTM-4H manual machines and the HBMC-4 and HBM 110-20T CNC Machines.

The HBM 110, a fully manual HBM, is designed for many uses. "It is a durable, heavy-duty machine tool that will provide years of profitable, trouble-free operation," said a company spokesperson.

Summit's HBMs feature precision ground ballscrews, precision hardened and ground bedways, rapid traverse in all feed directions and a built-in 360-degree manual rotary table with a 5,500-pound weight capacity. "The combination of mechanical and electrical engineering make the HBM 110 a versatile HBM," said the spokesperson. "Centralized pendant controls and multi-axis electronic digital readouts offer precision operation. Developed with our customers in mind, the HBM 110's user-friendly technology helps increase productivity."

The Summit HBMC-4 CNC utilizes the FANUC 0i control. The 4.3" spindle is mounted on high precision angular contact ball bearings and is equipped with a 2-step gear box for automatic spindle speed change. The large servo-driven, built-in indexing rotary table has a table load capacity of 6,600 lbs. "With advanced construction features, the HBMC-4 CNC HBM ensures high performance and greater productivity," said the spokesperson.
