ACER to Exhibit CNC Mini Bed-Mill with Fagor Control

ACER Group will exhibit its CNC Mini Bed-Mill with Fagor 8055i control at WESTEC 2013. It is offered in two models: 10" x 50" and 10" x 54" table size.
Features of the ACER CNC Mini Bed-Mill include an E-mill head, 5 HP inverter and variable speed 0-3,650 RPM to maintain set speed. The machine can run in both three and single phase. The machine features HRC 52-degrees hardened and ground way and table.
The Fagor 8055i CNC control is included. The control features a full-color LCD display, 3D contouring capabilities and standard menus. "The control can run both complex thru CAD/CAM, G, M code program and can run easy conversational program with graphic help manual," said a company spokesperson. "Simply fill in the blanks with your specs and you are ready to roll."
The ACER CNC Mini Bed-Mill features large travels of 28" (32") x 20" x 21" (XYZ). It is designed to offer extra Y-travel for large parts and efficient machine set-up. Spindle center to column face is 24" and provides a small footprint with large machining capability, the company said. Max spindle nose to table of 25.5" is intended to make machining taller parts easier. The machine is designed with 4,600 lbs. certified Meehanite casting. It is intended to provide stability and to be damping-free during heavy machining, according to the company.
ACER CNC Mini Bed-mill is designed to be easy to learn, operate and to provide a transition from manual with handwheel to CNC operation.
