YMT's TTL-20 high-speed 6" and 8" CNC turning center features a 30° slant bed with one-piece casting design and heavy-duty roller guide ways. The 30° slant bed design is engineered to provide higher machine stability and more efficient chip disposal because of the lower center of gravity. According to the company, the roller guide ways design is complemented with a high 20 HP spindle motor that offers 20% higher cutting capacity and chip removal rate than machines with linear ball guide ways.
A high-speed 10 station servo driven turret is standard with an indexing time of 0.2 seconds. The high-speed turret is capable of handling 1" tool holder and 1.5" boring bar holder. The turret is supported by reinforced saddle to handle heavy cutting conditions. The TTL-series also offers optional 12 station live tools for customers that need to perform milling, drilling, tapping and turning operations.
The TTL-series is constructed with one-piece heavily ribbed Meehanite casting and heavy headstock designed to withstand rigorous high production cutting. The axial motors are direct coupled and all precision hardened and ground ballscrews are pretentioned to achieve low thermal deformation that translate to higher accuracy turning, according to the company.
The TTL-series also comes with a heavy-duty hydraulic tailstock with 2.75" programmable quill diameter. The standard tailstock comes with an "easy position" feature that attaches the tailstock to the turret and is intended to eliminate the extra work of positioning tailstock in place by hand.
The compact TTL-series comes standard with chip conveyor, barfeeder interface, heat exchanger for electrical cabinet, auto power off function and automatic lubrication system.
