SST Acquires Beckman Precision

Single Source Technologies (SST), a North American distributor of machinery brands such as Makino and Murata, has announced its acquisition of Beckman Precision Inc. SST welcomed all current Beckman Precision employees on board as it looks to expand its distribution network in the southeast region.
"We are integrating the talent and services of Beckman Precision, and building on our commitment to support manufacturers with the high-performance machines, solutions, tooling, supplies and services that are critical to their success," said Dan Beckman of SST. Beckman Precision was founded in 1994 and is a full-service machine tool distributor located in Greer, SC.
The SST acquisition was completed Jan. 1, 2013. The former Beckman Precision facilities located in Greer, SC, are expected to remain a hub for the development of machining solutions and technology transfer to the region. SST is planning to maintain a number of key high-performance product lines previously represented by Beckman Precision, including Makino, Murata and Hermle, among others.
