Gain Control of CNC Data

FASBacCNC gives users complete control of their FANUC CNC data.

FANUC CNC has introduced FASBacCNC (FOCAS Automation Solution Backup), a complete network based file browser and backup for FANUC CNCs that is designed to give the user complete control of CNC data. Using FANUC America's FASConnect as a backend server for CNC communication, FASBacCNC acts as the front end application for file browsing, scheduling and backup operations for all machines with FOCAS enabled FANUC CNCs in a factory. FASBacCNC is the newest addition to the FAS (FOCAS Automation Solution) lineup.

FASBacCNC, powered by FASConnect, accesses text data from a FOCAS enabled FANUC CNC on any PC located anywhere on a network. This enables browsing and backup of FANUC CNC data anywhere in a factory or office. FASBacCNC is a complete backup utility and user interface that integrates with new or existing FASConnect servers for complete control over CNC data. FASBacCNC allows browsing of all FASConnect servers, the ability to upload data files from a CNC individually or as a complete backup, schedule automatic backups of any CNC and receive email notifications relating to scheduled backup status.

"FASBacCNC allows the user to browse their FASConnect servers with drag and drop navigation," said a company spokesperson. "In addition, it is easy to set up the directory structure and CNC data files into multiple configurations that can then be combined into any number of scheduled backups. FASBacCNC allows multiple FASConnect servers across an entire network, factory and even across factories that are network connected to be combined into one configuration and then allows multiple configurations to be combined into one schedule. Users have the ability to set schedules to be run manually or set to run on a user defined timed basis of hourly, daily, weekly or monthly. These features allow for complete freedom in scheduling and data backup control."

The complete FAS suite includes: FASBacCNC; FASConnect, a Windows service that allows access and management of text data from all FOCAS enabled CNCs across a network; FASOPC, an OPC 3.0 compliant server for retrieval of machining data from all FOCAS enabled CNCs.
