The Yama Seiki VP2012-HD is the upgrade of the current VP2012. The VP2012-HD series machine spindle is equipped with 30/35 HP (continuous/30 min) and speed range with two steps gearbox up to 6,000 RPM. The torque is 470 ft-lb at 387 RPM. The new designed spindle head has a minimum overhang distance between spindle centerline and Z-axis guide way center. This concept reduces the possibility of deformation caused by cutting force or thermal expansion. X-, Y-axes adapt with special heavy-duty machine tool linear guide way, which offers low frictional coefficient (0.003-0.005) and the best warranty for long-term high accuracy. Z-axis slide way is induction hardened and finished ground, and the mating surfaces are coated with SKC Turcite.
The performance features a minimum difference between dynamic and static friction eliminating stick-slip plus excellent vibration absorption to ensure positioning accuracy. The feed system of "VP-HD" series machine consists of AC servomotor, high accuracy ball screw and special support bearings. External pulse coders are directly connected to the ball screws for all three axes. The working capacity is 78.74" x 47.24" x 29.92" with maximum table load upgrade of 9,900 lbs.
