Fastems presented its new FMS5 control system and its applications at EMO, in Hannover, Germany. This controller provides an on-line dashboard view over the system on a desktop. Each user view can be customized for personal needs to get real time information about the status of production.
Operator interfaces can be set to match the needs of users from the shop floor operator to the senior manager. The ergonomic touch screen user-interfaces follow the process in the set-up stations and bring the needed information to the operator.
The controller is based on a .NET programming platform and uses the latest .NET software tools.
"With the new MMS5, the production planning features (PPS) are enough to get production planning under control in most small and medium size workshops," said a company spokesperson.
