VidiProbe, offered by Certified Comparator Products (CCP), is designed to turn a traditional optical comparator into a fully automatic video inspection system.
VidiProbe is a high resolution, digital video camera that is mounted internally and positioned to capture the image formed by the comparator optics. VidiProbe allows the image to be digitally analyzed and instantly measured. "Using VidiProbe is as easy as switching lenses - just move the lever to 'camera' to switch from a traditional comparator to digital video," said a company spokesperson.
Using Measure-X 2D software, VidiProbe allows users to measure manually or create routines that run automatically. According to the company, VidiProbe completes highly repeatable measurements faster and far more accurately than manual operation.
