September 24th through the 26th Minnesota machine tool distributor Productivity Inc will host its 17th biennial machine tool exhibition, the 2013 Oktoberfest Tool Show. Over 3,000 attendees are expected to attend and view computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines and measurement equipment under power as well as tooling and related machine tool accessory vendors.
There will be 12 seminars, including The True Cost at the Spindle, Tool Management for Manufacturing Engineers, Uptime-Pro, Automated Production Reporting Sofware as a Service (SaaS) and Advanced Robotic Vision, to name a few. "Attendees can view live tool demonstrations, talk to applications and sales experts, catch up on the newest technologies and enjoy Oktoberfest fare and beer," said a company spokesperson.
Oktoberfest began in 1981 as a means of introducing new CNC manufacturing equipment. This year's show will feature machine manufacturers Haas Automation Inc., Makino, Matsuura, FANUC Robotics, Citizen, Miyano, Swiss Tec, Hyundai WIA, ANCA, Murata, Omax, Durma, Okamoto, Scotchman, EDM Drillmate, Tsune and FOBA Lasers. Tooling vendors include Kennametal, Ingersoll, Lista, Guhring, PH Horn, Lista, Komet and RedLine, among others.
