Hermle Goes Big at IMTS 2026

Hermle has announced its plans for IMTS 2026: a five-machine display anchored by the company's largest machine ever built, the C 62 U MT, and the debut of an all-new 5-axis mill-turn platform, the C 22 U MT.

"GO BIG is more than a theme for us this year,Äîit is a statement about where Hermle is headed," said Gunther Schnitzer, President and CEO of Hermle USA, Inc. "We are bringing our largest machine, our newest machine, our most advanced automation, and a demo piece the manufacturing world has never seen before. IMTS 2026 is where our German engineering heritage and our North American growth come together on one floor."

For the first time, Hermle will showcase the C 62 U MT, its largest 5-axis mill-turn machining center, at a North American trade show. The C 62 U MT is engineered for large-format, high-precision components, expanding Hermle's capability into a new class of part sizes for customers.

Live on the show floor, the C 62 U MT will machine a brand-new demo piece unlike anything previously produced at a Hermle exhibit,Äîa component designed specifically to demonstrate the scale, complexity, and precision achievable on the company's flagship platform. Hermle will run a daily social media giveaway throughout IMTS: each day, the first 50 attendees who post a photo with the C 62 U MT demo piece will receive a Hermle T-shirt, on-site.

Hermle will also unveil the C 22 U MT, a new addition to its 5-axis product line that builds on the C 22 U platform with integrated mill-turning capability. The new model gives manufacturers greater process consolidation,Äîcombining milling and turning operations in a single set-up,Äîand reinforces Hermle's ongoing investment in expanding its GEN2 5-axis lineup to meet increasingly complex part geometries in medical, aerospace, and precision job shop work.

Rounding out the machine lineup, Hermle will present two automated manufacturing cells built for lights-out, high-mix production:

,Ä¢ C 250 with HS flex hybrid,Äîa flexible automation solution designed to maximize spindle utilization and adapt to varying batch sizes and part families.

,Ä¢ C 12 with RS 05-2,Äîa compact automated cell pairing Hermle's C 12 machining center with a robotic system built for efficient, unattended part handling.

Together, the cells demonstrate HERMLE's end-to-end approach to automation,Äîengineering machines and automation as a single, integrated system rather than an add-on.

Hermle's Metal Power Application (MPA) team will have a dedicated display of additively manufactured parts and the latest developments in Hermle's metal additive technology. The MPA showcase will highlight how Hermle's additive and hybrid manufacturing solutions enable new part designs and efficiencies,Äîspecifically consolidating combustion chamber production operations, innovating injection molding processes, and transforming the rapid prototyping of semiconductor production.

Reflecting HERMLE's identity as a single global manufacturer, the IMTS 2026 booth will be staffed by Hermle team members from the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Germany. Attendees will have direct access to application engineers, sales leaders, and technical experts from across Hermle's global network.
